MVC at the Saint Maur festival in Cogolin

6 Aug

The traditional festival in St Maur village is dedicated to the patron saint of Cogolin. Every year, during 3 days of May, according to tradition is celebrated this local festival. This ceremony has a very ancient origin, as it celebrates the courage of the armed men who defended the village from the Saracen incursions. The central figure of the feast is the statue of Saint Maur, which this year was replicated by MVC. The 160 cm high figure made in Moleanos Vidraço was placed in one of the busiest roundabouts of the village
