The story of an "Unfinished Symphony" in monumental proportions of Sölker marble
The best description for this project “Truly monumental“.
The block that was used in the construction of the fountain by the Austrian Michael Egger, had nothing less than 4m x 4m x 1.20 m, totaling a mass of 50 t.
Sölker marble, originally from the Austrian Alps, was used. The block was trimmed at the quarry site to facilitate transportation. Parts with cracks or unwanted colors have been removed.
At the end of the project, a bath in the fountain was the reward for the Austrian after having successfully overcome a series of challenges.
