On this World Environment Day, we reaffirm our commitment to environmental protection by promoting sustainability within the sector through the implementation of various environmental and sustainable measures.
We highlight some of the initiatives that reflect this commitment:
• Solar energy: MVC has significantly increased its photovoltaic capacity, now reaching 832 kWh. This investment in clean and renewable energy is aligned with the company’s efforts to reduce its ecological footprint and enhance energy efficiency.
• Resource management: A water treatment circuit has been installed, whereby wastewater is directed to an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (ETAI), treated, and then reintroduced into the production process. This measure contributes to a more rational and sustainable use of water resources.
• Environmental rehabilitation: We have rehabilitated one of our quarries, transforming it into a licensed facility for the reception of inert waste. This structure provides an essential service to all extraction companies in the region, offering a suitable destination for their waste and promoting a circular economy within the sector.
MVC remains committed to integrating sustainable practices into its operations, actively contributing to a greener and more balanced future.
